The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has declared a two-day mourning period for the celebration of the life and times of the late veteran actress, Zainab Olubukola Ajayi.
A statement was issued by the President of the guild, Ibinabo Fiberesima commiserating with the family.
Bukky Ajayi died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 and was buried on the same day.
Part of the statement, provided by Vanguard reads, “On behalf of the National Executive Committee and the entire members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the National President, Ibinabo Fiberesima commiserates with the family of the our late veteran Actor and member, Bukky Zainab Ajayi, who passed onto eternal glory on Wednesday July 6, 2016.”
“She will be fondly remembered for her contributions and motherly counsels to the development and welfare of the members of our noble Guild in particular and the society in general. She lived an exemplary life of a pious and devout Muslim and we pray Almighty Allah will grant her gentle soul eternal rest in peace and give the family and her loved ones the gratitude to bear the irreparable loss. Actors Guild of Nigeria has declare two days of National mourning to pray and celebrate the life and times of our dearest Late “Mummy, Bukky.” Condolence register has been opened in all state chapters nationwide.”
