The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has suspended female actor, Chrystabel Goody for allegedly biting a colleague, Princess Chineke while they were both on a film set.
TNS reported the incident which Chineke claimed to have resulted from them being put in the same room while filming a new movie, Behind the Smile, in Lagos on Friday, February 12, 2016.
An AGN statement issued by the guild’s Public Relations Officer, Moji Oyetayo reads, “The Guild and Associations in Nollywood have been duly notified of the suspension. The national and state task forces have been kept on alert to disengage her from all sets pending when the suspension will be lifted.”
It continued, “The guild has set up a high powered committee headed by the National Chief Whip, Empress Eneh, to investigate the immediate and remote causes of the matter.”
The statement also stated that Crystabel will remain suspended until the outcome of the investigation as stipulated by the constitution of the Guild.
AGN president, Ibinabo Fiberesima described the incident as an “act of cannibalism.”
