The 2016 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards is only four days away. Over the next days, TNS will take a look at the major categories and ask respected Nigerian film critic, Oris Aigbokhaevbolo to predict the winners in those categories.
Today, we begin with the Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories.
Blossom Chukwujekwu is looking to make it two wins on the bounce in the same category after picking up last year’s award for his performance in Knocking on Heaven’s Door. Blossom has an all-Nigerian competition here with Sambasa Nzeribe, Soibifaa Dokubo and Olumide Oworu all hoping to pick up the award. OC Ukeje who is a two-time time winner is the other big name on the list.
In the female category, there is no past winner of the AMVCA. Beverly Naya, Lepacious Bose, Tubosun Aiyedihin, Zubaidat Ibrahim Fagge and Thishiwe Ziqubu are all searching for a first ever win. Just like in the male category, there is a double nomination for one work – Before 30.
