What’s Love Got To Do With It star, Angela Bassett has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther.
Bassett, who currently stars in American Horror Story, will play Ramonda, mother of T’Challa (Black Panther) who is to be played by Chadwick Boseman.
Angela will be starring alongside Michael B. Jordan, who will play Erik Killmonger; Lupita Nyong’o who will play Nakia; Danai Gurira who will star as Okoye; Winston Duke as M’Baku; Forest Whitaker who plays Zuri; Florence Kasumba will play Ayo – a member of the Dora Milaje; and Daniel Kaluuya will play W’Kabi, a T’Challa confidant.
The movie will be helmed by Creed director, Ryan Coogler and filming begins in early 2017. The film will be released in theaters on February 16, 2018.
