Yesterday evening saw a heated exchange between Nollywood actor and TV presenter, Uti Nwachukwu and cultural activist and writer, Molara Wood. Journalist Kadaria Ahmed was also involved in the exchange at some point.
And what was the genesis? A tweet from Molara Wood about a bleaching cream sponsoring a show Uti presents, Africa Magic‘s Jara.
Molara Wood expressed her displeasure in a series of tweets about how she found it disturbing that a bleaching cream will sponsor a show like Jara and things went downhill from there.
Uti Nwachukwu responded saying the episode was aired a long time ago and that people were free to make their own choices.
Kadaria Ahmed also referred to a quip Uti made about helping the guest on that episode, actress Ifeoma Fafunwa, maintain her light skin by giving her a goodie bag filled with products from the company in question.
Somehow, Uti Nwachukwu lost his temper and called Molara Wood a “bitter black woman in need of multiple orgasms”. See some of the tweets below.
