Hollywood‘s Lionsgate is said to be satisfied with the success of Bollywood‘s remake of its 2011 movie Warrior.
Though this isn’t the first time that there would be an official and legal remake of a Hollywood film by Bollywood, this particular remake’s success is quite commendable. Gaining a massive box office sum of $13 million worldwide – $11.2 million of which was at the Indian box office.
The Bollywood remake of the Lionsgate’s Warrior is titled Brothers and its currently in the theaters worldwide. Warrior starred Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte and Joel Edgerton.
With legal remakes like Brothers, the best of Hollywood storytelling genius is interpreted to fit into the culture of India by local acting talents that will end up generating income for all parties which is good for both industries’ growth.
