The body saddled with the responsibility of monitoring the content of the films put out by our movie makers, the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) boss, Patricia Bala joined Nigerians home and abroad to celebrate the 55th celebration of the nation’s independence.
She however also took time out to celebrate our beloved movie industry acknowledging their worthy success thus far and also drew attention on what needed to be done to keep up the good work it has done so far.
Bala also made promises to Nollywood on behalf of the Censors Board. “The industry must also never lose sight of the fact that Nigeria’s wellbeing and development as a peaceful nation will continue to be of immense benefit to Nollywood’s creative energies anchored on achieving a broad value-chain.
“The NFVCB is ever committed to pursuing regulatory policies that will continue to propel the growth of a better structured and organised industry with tangible benefits to all stake-holders and the nation at large,” she concluded.
