Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan has exclusively revealed to NET that his 2016 movie, The CEO which is still in some cinemas across the country has so far grossed about sixty million Naira (N60m).
This is still a far cry from the amount he needs to make to be able to cover the N50m loan he took from the Bank of Industry Nollyfund.
“So far, my The CEO which is no longer showing in some cinemas has grossed about N60m,” Afolayan said in a Facebook Live chat.
He continued, “After they do all their deductions, what will come to Golden Effects might not be more than N20m. How am I then supposed to pay back the money from BoI and then get our return on investment?”
Afolayan is fresh from his Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) where joined star actress, Genevieve Nnaji as subjects of the In Conversation With programme.
