2015 has been the year of the memes!
No arguments, no grumbling at the back. What other year comes close to this outgoing one when it comes to memes that have broken the internet and many of our ribs?
We at TNS know this and we would rather die laughing and forcing you to do so too than doing the greatest meme year of all time grave injustice by not looking back at those spectacular memes that reminds us that even in the midst of life’s chaos, people still create laughter – for themselves and others.
So, ask someone to hold your ribs and let’s get going.
Drake’s Hot Line Bling
This is, for me, up there with the best ones of 2015. Drake’s Hot Line Bling is a great video. Who would have thought that anything greater could be made out of it? This meme absolutely kills it!
Earlier in the year, February to be precise, one dress appeared out of nowhere and did a very good job of dividing families, friends, lovers, nations and kingdoms the world over.
This lace-trimmed eyesore created the biggest controversy since Pharaoh’s Egypt when some wise folks saw it as blue and black, and others said the dress was white and gold.
I still mantain that it is white and white.
Still Drake’s Hot Line Bling
Have you placed your orders today? I hear Jumia now sells too.
Pope Spits Bars Now, wait. I have no comments. None. *makes sign of the cross*
The above photo of two llamas caught on live television, after they escaped in Sun City, Ariz. They roamed town together, avoiding American authorities for a period of time. This gave birth to the below memes. One is of American Gothic the other is a Thelma and Louise- themed meme.

Chrissy Teigen’s cry face
Chrissy was caught getting emotional during her husband’s acceptance speech for winning Best Song for “Glory” at January’s Golden Globe awards and she immediately became one of the early casualties of the year.
People are just wicked. Even toddlers too? C’mon!
Rihanna on the red carpet
Rihanna’s yellow fur-trimmed Guo Pei dress was a major style coup at and it assisted those with imagination to do things to it.
Now a movie-themed meme.
Chris Pratt in the hugely successful Jurassic World wrangled some raptors and gave the internet a memorable shot as he stood before the animals with his arms outstretched in an attempt to keep them in place.
Straight Outta Somewhere
Another movie-themed meme. This time, as Straight Outta Compton hyped its cinema release by allowing fans to make their own customized “Straight Outta…” memes based on the film’s artwork.
Then, these happened.
