Superstar ex-footballer, David Beckham has landed a role in Guy Ritchie‘s Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.
He is said to have signed up for a part in the film being made by the director who happens to be his friend.
According to an unnamed source, there will be a version of the scene where Excalibur gets drawn from the stone and that is where Beckham factors in.
The film will also star Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Eric Bana and Poppy Delevingne. Meanwhile, according to FilmDivider.com, “some football puns” were written into David’s scene. ”There’s a little bit of a sense that Beckham’s character, who fancies himself as a big player in this story, gets a little ticked off when this other fellow, this upstart, is the one who can free the sword,” the website revealed.
Beckham is also expected to make a cameo in The Man From U.N.C.L.E scheduled for release in August.
