Popular Nigerian magazine, Tell recently ran a story which it headlined “Actress Eniola Badmus Bags First Endorsement.” The short story reads:
Eniola Badmus, popular Nollywood actress has sealed her first endorsement deal with a new company called African Cable Television, ACTV.
The actress was signed on as a brand ambassador with the multimedia company today, May 5 and she took to Instagram to share the news with her fans. Badmus featured in Jenifa, the popular film produced by Funke Akindele, also an actress.
ACTV is a direct home pay TV service in Nigeria that was incorporated in 2013 and launched to the viewing public in November 2014.
However, when Eniola Badmus saw the story, she was amused and couldn’t help tweeting a reply to the magazine saying the news was false as it wasn’t her first endorsement deal:
Badmus is a household name in the Yoruba film industry having featured in Jenifa, Omo Ghetto, BlackBerry Babes and many more movies.
