American actor and musician, Donald Glover also known as Childish Gambino is the latest addition to the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
The cast already includes Tom Holland as Spider-Man, who made his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Marissa Tomei as Aunt May. Zendaya is also said to be on board for the new movie.
Glover’s role has not been announced yet but there’s a long list of speculations about the role he’ll play. Some of them include: Miles Morales, The Tinkerer, The Prowler, Ned Leeds, Miles Warren, among others. A lot of people believe he will play Miles Morales because he already voiced the character some years ago.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be produced by Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal, directed by Jon Watts and bankrolled by Sony Pictures. The reboot is said to be an official incorporation of Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. An overlap with other Marvel characters such as Thor, Iron Man and Captain America was previously prevented by Sony Pictures who own the film rights. Filming of the movie will begin this summer and the movie will be released in theaters on July, 28, 2017.
