Yesterday, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Digital Sattelite Television (DStv) relaunched its “Compact” bouquet. According to DStv, this was done as a response to the recent outcry from its customers about affordability when the company jerked up subscription fees.”This is a sign of a company that puts its costumers first,” an official said. “The relaunched DStv Compact is aimed at giving them more, for less.“
The more, for less mantra was echoed in the advert for the service. Directed by New York Film Academy (NYFA) graduate, Banky W and starring Amstel Malta Box Office winner, Ivie Okujaye, the ad tells the story of a young woman who is overwhelmed by almost everything – her new job, shopping, the price of launch at a restaurant – except her DStv Compact which “is just perfect” for her.
The event was attended by Do Good stars Tariah Basorge, Kate Henshaw and Yibo Koko as well as other industry players.
DStv compact costs N6,000 and has over 95 channels, including DStv Box Office.
