EbonyLife TV is calling for nominations for this year’s edition of its EbonyLife TVSisterhood Awards, which will be hosted in special partnership with the Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ).
The first EbonyLife TV Sisterhood Awards took place in 2014 as part of the 50th birthday celebration for EbonyLife TV CEO, Mo Abudu.
According to Abudu, “This year’s Sisterhood Awards are truly a cause for excitement!” She continued, “If you know a sister—young, old, Christian or Muslim— from any part of Nigeria, who is making a difference in our society, please visit our website and nominate them now. We want to recognize them as our way of showing thanks for all they do for us.”
The ten award categories include Film and TV Director of the Year, Fashion Designer of the Year, Philanthropist of the Year, TV Personality of the Year, and more.
Past recipients of the award are Mosunmola Umoru, Entrepreneur of the Year; Chioma Omeruah (Chigul), Comedienne of the Year; Aisha Augie Auta, Photographer of the Year; Crystal Chigbu, Philanthropist of the Year; Ema Edosio, Film & TV Director of the Year; Ifeyinwa Ojekwe, Made in Nigeria Product of the Year; Mai Atafo– Man of the Year; Bisola Adeniyi, Fashion Designer of the Year; and Chief Nike Okundaye Davies, Lifetime Achievement Award.
According to EbonyLife TV, criteria for award recipients is based solely on excellence, dedication, innovation, impact, and integrity.
The EbonyLife TV Sisterhood Awards will be held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 4, 2016.
