A fan of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), Susan Abuh has called for the organisers of the awards event to adopt a dress code to reflect the African nature of the ceremony.
She believes that instead of the foreign dresses and suits, adopting African prints on the night would help distinguish it from foreign award events.
Part of her mail reads:
I would like to suggest that the dress code for the 2016 award would be African in nature I.e. all those long flowing gowns can be made with African prints. The guys can equally have their outfit made these prints. This will help different us from the Hollywood award setting and would go a long way to portray our Africanism to the world.
Film entries for the 2016 edition of the AMVCA are currently being accepted until October 30, 2015.
