For the first time ever, award-winning Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan appears to be featuring one of his brothers, Gabriel Afolayan as an actor in his movie.
Kunle Afolayan posted a picture of himself and Gabriel on the set of a new short film, Hannatu which they’re currently working on in Auchi.
It looks like Gabriel will be in front on the cameras and Kunle will be behind them.
The filmmaker told Daily Post in 2013 that working with his actor brothers Gabriel and Aremu was going to be unprofessional especially if they were cast in roles not fit for them.
He said, “It would be a wrong casting if I feature my brothers in a movie because I want them to be a part of the production. I know some families in the industry that does that and I have explained it to them before. It is absolutely wrong casting.
“Professionally, it is wrong and I will never do it. If I’m not in a film and I think any of my brothers would fit into the movie, they will do it. Gabriel understands because I have explained to him several times,” he added.
