Hollywood Actress, Gabrielle Union is suing BET.
According to reports, Gabrielle Union who plays Mary Jane on the Network’s number one hit show ‘Being Mary Jane’, believes BET is fraudulently trying to extend her contract.
Union who is also a movie star in Hollywood reportedly accepted the role of Mary Jane on a TV network under certain conditions.
One of those conditions included BET shooting nothing more than 13 episodes in one season so as to allow her pursue her movie career without hassles.
However, Ms Union claims BET was trying to shoot 20 episodes back to back (ten each for two upcoming seasons) while trying to cram all 20 in one single season!
According to Ms Union’s Lawyer, BET is doing this to avoid paying her increase in the 4th and 5th Season of the Show as earlier signed.
Union was due for a $150,000 per episode in season 4 and $165,000 per episode in season 5.
Just days ago, it was reported that Michael Ealy was joining the cast of the show.
Ealy, who is also a box office star, said he was joining the show because of Gabrielle Union who is a friend of his.
Pretty interesting, huh?
