Telecommunications giant Globacom have announced that they would be sponsoring Hush, an Africa Magic telenovela starring Richard Mofe-Damijo, Olu Jacobs and Thelma Okoduwa, among others, as part of their commitment to supporting the arts.
A statement from the company explained that the television series would have a total of 261 episodes that will feature Richard Mofe-Damijo, Olu Jacobs, Thelma Okoduwa and Mawuli Gavor from Ghana among others. Hush currently shows on Africa Magic Showcase on DStv and it is a story about ambition, power, intrigues and emotional desires. The drama also explores the affairs between society’s elite and power shifts, which the different characters manifest as they interact with one another. The intrigue begins when Bem proposes marriage to Arinola, an action that sets in motion a chain of events propelled by the secrets in their respective lives, secrets that run through the backrooms of secret societies, the corridors of the judiciary and on social media.
Globacom in a statement released recently, encouraged Nigerians to watch the show on Channel 151 on DStv Monday through Friday at 8 p.m. each day as it would help to entertain the whole family richly and also provide lessons on how to cope with their daily lives. They said, “Hush presents various slices of contemporary African family life with its attendant intrigues, follies, virtues and vices. It teaches and thrills as it unravels secret after secret in the lives of the protagonists that mirrors what happens in the real world.”
