Nollywood actress and producer, Uche Jombo-Rodriguez had a lengthy chat with Samuel Olatunji of Broadway Africa recently and she revealed a lot of things. She spoke about her marriage and what influenced her choice of a life partner, sex, motherhood, her past relationships, her experience working with Omoni Oboli and many other issues.
When she was asked about her husband and why she chose him, she said, “I didn’t just go (and marry him), it happened. It wasn’t like I used surname to select who I ended up with. No. I met a person, we fell in love and we got married.”
When she was told about allegations that came up when she got married about the marriage being arranged, Uche responded saying, “Go and arrange your own…. You give out what you take in. Everything you give all comes back to you. Whatever energy you give out will come back to you.”
Giving advice to single women anxious to get married, the Wives on Strike star said, “Don’t marry because people are telling you to marry. Marry because that’s something you want to do once in a lifetime. Make sure you’re sure of who you want to spend the rest of your life with. At the end of the day, you have to be married to someone you can fight with, laugh with, rejoice with and do everything with. Marriage is not a bed of roses.”
