She took a slight break from acting after her stellar performance as Ngozi in Tunde Kelani‘s 2000 film, Thunderbolt (Magun).
Uche Mac-Auley needed some time to also do some writing for children. This fuelled several rumours including one about her being banned by Igbo Nollywood for taking part in a Yoruba film.
However, speaking at last night’s special screening of the film at the second edition of GDC Nolly Thursdays which was dedicated to celebrating Tunde Kelani on the eve of his 68th birthday, Uche said she’s making a big return to the screen.
According to Uche Mac-Auley, she has just concluded shoot for a film titled Midnight Blues.
“I also featured in a series which is coming out big next month,” the beauty said while asking a question about what she has been up to.
“I feel honoured that you all turned up for this screening,” Uche thanked the audience on the night.
“Thank you all for surviving this screening,” Kelani added, referring to the fact that Thunderbolt was 16 years old which means there has been a considerable advancement in technology since.
