Nollywood actress, producer, director and ex-beauty queen, Mbong Amata has spoken to Punch Newspapers about her failed marriage to fellow Nollywood practitioner, Jeta Amata.
The Black November star was queried about if she features only in movies produced by Jeta.
“Contrary to popular belief, I didn’t always feature in only Jeta’s films. I attend open call auditions just like every other actor out there and I have been blessed with the opportunity of working with other directors/producers in the industry. I have worked with the likes of Desmond Elliot, Ikechukwu Onyeka, Lancelot Imasuen, Emem Isong and Moses Inwang to mention but a few,” she said.
Mbong also claimed that the pair have a great friendship despite their separation and she refused to rule out working on his movie projects in future.
However, she was quick to pour cold water on speculation that they might come back together as man and woman. She said, “… We are cool parents and love our beautiful seven-year-old daughter. We see every other day and it is not a rare sight to see us together.“
