Nigerian comedy icon, Ali Baba says that his recent foray into Nollywood is not by mistake. Over the last two years, the man popularly referred to as the king of comedy in Nigeria has featured in Head Gone and The Wedding Party.
Ali Baba has however revealed to TNS that he is a man of many talents who started drawing since his secondary school days.
He said, “If someone sees me hold an exhibition today, of photographs, they will say when did Ali Baba start? I started taking pictures since 1978.”
He continued, “If someone sees me today painting or drawing, they will be like…but I started drawing from secondary school. If somebody should see me dancing, they will be wondering what.”
The comedian also made it clear that he wasn’t in the industry because of the money. He said that what actors make after three weeks working on a film is what the average comedian makes from one show.
