Hollywood superstar actor Johnny Depp stormed the stage at the Disney D23 Fan Expo held at the weekend at Anaheim California as his character in Pirates of the Caribbean, Jack Sparrow. The lovable roguish pirate character was reprised by the 52-year old actor in the presence of the film co-directors: Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg.
Depp came fresh from receiving Disney Legend award from Disney CEO Bob Iger last Friday to the ultimate Biennial expo in his distinctive full costume to discuss the new installment of the movie franchise Dead Men Tell No Tales. Depp will be starring alongside Orlando Bloom who wasn’t in the last installment, Geoffry Rush, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Javier Bardem to mention a few.
The new installment of Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tell Tales is slated to hit the theaters July 7, 2017 and is under post-production as shooting has wrapped up last week in Australia.
For your information, the new movie in the franchise will be the fifth in the series that started in 2003 and has raked in about $3.7m worldwide for Disney from box office sales and video games.
