Kunle Afolayan‘s The CEO will be screening on November 6, 2016 at the 9th edition of Afrikamera themed African Queers, African Movies, African Cultures.
This edition of the festival will focus on a selection of recent movies and documentaries which deal with LGBT issues and plead for the acceptance of queer lifestyles on the African continent.
Set on a beautiful beach resort on the outskirts of Lagos, Nigeria, The CEO follows five top executives from across Africa who are sent on a one-week leadership retreat by a multinational telecommunications firm to determine who gets selected as the new CEO. Things go awry when one by one the executives are eliminated in sudden death circumstances, with the finger pointing to the last two remaining executive as prime suspects.
The movie stars several stellar actors from all over Africa including Grammy Award-winning singer, Angélique Kidjo, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Wale Ojo, Aurelie Eliam, Nicolas Panagio, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Fatim Layachi, Peter King, Hilda Dokubo. Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold and Moroccan artiste, Ahmed Soultan made cameo appearances in the film.
