Yoruba actress Mide Funmi Martins received an Episcopal award on Sunday honouring her late mother, Miss Funmi Martins. The posthumous Episcopal award was given at the Cathedral of St Matthew, Ijebu-Ijesa.
Funmi Martins was a top Yoruba actress in her time and featured in several movies including Aye O Pare, Ija Omode, Obiri Oloja, Adisa, among others.
She died in May 2002 of cardiac arrest at the age of 39.
