Yesterday we reported the possibility of award-winning Hollywood actress, Lupita Nyong’o‘s involvement in Marvel Studios‘ Black Panther. Well, new talk in town is that Creed star, Micheal B Jordan will also be joining the cast of the superhero movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Micheal B Jordan will be rejoining his Creed director, Ryan Coogler for Black Panther. It is unclear who Jordan will play but a source told THR that it would be a villain. Marvel had no comment.
The movie will be Micheal’s third encounter with Ryan Coogler. The first time they worked together was for the indie drama Fruitvale Station.
Black Panther is not Jordan’s first rodeo as a superhero though. He starred as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four last year. He is currently developing the remake of the Thomas Crowne Affair which he will produce with Joe Russo and Anthony Russo.
There are various speculations about which villain Micheal will play, if he DOES play the villain that is. Likely possibilities are Man-Ape (M’Baku), Batroc the Leaper, Salamander K’Ruel, Kiber the Cruel, White Wolf, Eric Kilmonger, Ulysses Klaw(who appeared in Age Of Ultron) and Reverend Micheal Ibn al-Hajj Achebe.
Production of the movie starts in 2017 and the release is slated for February 16,2018.
Too much black
