According to reports, box office monster movie, FIFTY will be staging a return to the screens as a television series.
Mo Abudu executive-produced film directed by Biyi Bandele, it was announced yesterday, has grossed about N100 million in cinemas during its unprecedented 4-month run nationwide.
Featuring Omoni Oboli, Dakore Egbuson, Ireti Doyle, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Wale Ojo and Kemi Lala Akindoju, FIFTY has made appearances at several film festivals including the BFI London Film Festival and is also available on multiple video-on-demand platforms including Netflix.
The film’s producers hope to continue the movie’s premise of a week in the lives of four African women approaching the golden age of 50.
