Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Kunle Afolayan, yesterday revealed that a lot of the fees he paid to cinema houses as entertainment tax did not reflect on Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) accounts.
Afolayan said this yesterday at the Bank of Industry (BoI) NollyFund event held on Day 3 of the ongoing Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
“A lot of monies I’ve been paying to cinemas did not reflect when I checked with FIRS,” the Golden Effects Studios boss said.
Encouraging filmmakers to tap into the NollyFund project, he said, “If you believe in your craft, this (NollyFund) is the best platform.“
