The worldwide renowned movie streaming service portal Netflix has increased its standard monthly subscription in order to continue its provision of good service it says. The increase will affect new customers that are just subscribing onto the service.
In order to carry subscribers along, Netflix has sent out emails to users stating the reason for the increase and new rates. According to the company, the increment is necessary for the continued provision of good series and movies. Its basic Non-HD package will remain at its price of $8.86(€7.99) a month while the premium package will be $13.30(€11.99).
For worried customers, the slated increase will affect mostly European countries like France, Germany and the Netherlands. In Switzerland, for instance, the increase has been effected already and in U.K (which has the most subscribers of about 4.5 million), Netflix made an increase earlier this year.
