Award winning Nigerian director Akin Omotosho is set to bring to your cinema screens a scintillating love story set in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Omotosho, who won hearts and continental acclaim with the multiple award-winning Man on Ground (2011), returns with a romantic comedy, Tell me Sweet Something, that is set to thrill fans of stories that pull heart strings.
Starring Nomzamo Mbatha, Maps Maponyane, Thishiwe Ziqubu, Kagiso Lediga, Thomas Gumede, Thembi Seete and Mandisa Bardill, the film tells the story of Moratiwa (Mbatha): an aspiring novelist who hasn’t written much since her ex-boyfriend Norman went out to buy milk and never came back. Frustrated with her best friend, Tashaka (Ziqubu) convinces Moratiwa to get off her depressive but and party at a new club and it is here that she meets South Africa’s no.1 celebrity model, Nat Masilo (Maponyane). So, what happens next?
Tell me Something Sweet will hit the cinema screens in South Africa on the 18th of September 2015.
Akin Omotosho was born in Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria in 1974 and is the son of renowned Nigerian academic and writer Kole Omotosho who wrote the controversial historical novel, Just Before Dawn (1988).
