Looks like Nollywood is not missing out entirely at the ongoing Festival De Cannes happening in France. Stanlee Ohikhuare‘s Iterum and Baba Agba‘s Erased have been chosen to be showcased at the Short Films Corner of the festival.
Iterum which means “Again” is a 15-minute film that revolves around Ireti and Kome, who have their fates interwoven upon their rather enchanting first encounter. Their attraction is based on the unknown as they go on a journey of discovery; peeling off layers of secrets and inhibitions till they both stand bare before each other. Then one of them seeks the unknown again.
It it was directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare and features Paul Utomi and Kiki Omeili.
Erased is a story about Grace, a young married woman in Lagos, Nigeria that is being abused by her husband Paul and when her best friend Mercy arranges for her to escape her husband’s abusive nature things get rather crazy.
The film features Tope Tedela, Ade Laoye, Udoka Oyeka, Diana Yekinni and Seun Ajayi. It was directed by Baba Agba, produced by Olufemi D. Ogunsanwo and written by Olu Yomi Ososanya.
Way to go people!
