Lines keep falling in pleasant places for Niyi Akinmolayan’s short film, Room 315. Akinmolayan announced on his Facebook page tonight that FilmHouse Cinemas have given them the use of their new IMAX multiplex for the premiere of the movie.
He wrote: “BEST NEWS EVER!!!! I am thrilled to announce that FilmHouse Cinemas have graciously given us the use of their brand new State-of-the-art First in Nigeria iMax Multiplex for the premiere of our highly anticipated short film, ROOM 315. We are very excited to show our short film to the world at one of the premium screens on the 15th of December 2016. Also, the film will be released online at the same time and we will livestream the entire event. There will be Red carpet reception and an after party at the Terrace bar. i can’t even contain this excitement. Filmhouse have been very good to me and were critical to the success of “The Arbitration” and “Out of Luck”. Many thanks to the executive director Moses Olumuyiwa Babatope; Your support of nollywood has been a big boost to our craft. Thank you. who wants a ticket?”
Written by Abosi Ogba and directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, Room 315 is the office of Dr. Stone Dewale, a psychotherapist. Here, he attends to his clients: diverse in age, sex and of course, problems. Because Dr. Stone is the only shrink within the area, he is a busy man, sought after and perhaps losing a part of his life for his job.
It is produced by Niyi Akinmolayan and Emmanuel Uduma and it stars Tina Mba, Bimbo Manuel, Gregory Ojefua and Jessica Opara.
