Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel recently lamented the dearth of good acting in Nollywood as a result of a change in focus from talent to technical efficiency.
He said this at a movie release party held last week in Lagos when he was asked about his experience featuring in Nollywood movies.
In his words, “What I really don’t like that’s happening in the industry is that they are putting more focus on equipment, lighting and cameras than the act of acting itself. So, they are losing their art and focusing on putting more passion on the technical part. Therefore, true acting is fading away in Nollywood.”
