Take a short trip down memory lane. Stop at early 90s (assuming you were born then), then slowly, move to mid 90s and then early 2000s. Yeah, there you are. Now, remember all the biggest movies from Nollywood in those years. You may remember that some of them had child stars that are hard to forget.
Now, have you wondered what happened to those child stars? I have. And here is what…
He was a huge Yoruba child Actor in the early 90s. The son of popular Actor Waheed Ijaduade, Azeez came to limelight through blockbusters like Jensimi and Iru Esin.
These days however, the Actor seems more interested in being behind the scenes.
Crew or cast, we are certain Mr Ijaduade has learnt a lot of things from his famous Dad because he started out early!
Her most popular role on screen as a child Actor was playing Actress Omotola Ekeinde’s daughter in the hit 2004 movie, Blood Sisters.
But we bet you won’t recognize the young talent who won our hearts with her tears (especially in scenes where Genevieve Nnaji’s character punished her and her brother) these days.
And that is because the young actor is now a full grown woman
Chinenye is currently studying at the University of Nigeria and, is back on her Nollywood grind. So, you’re going to have the famous Nollywood kid back on your screen as an adult.
Sharon’s most popular role till date is probably the one in the huge TV show Dear Mother. Playing the youngest character on the show for years, Sharon stole our hearts every night for over five years.
These days, Sharon is part of the cast of MTV Shuga where she plays Princess.
Peter Bunor Junior
He is arguably the most famous child star from English speaking movies in the late 90s/early 2000s. The son of now late Actor, Peter Bunor, Peter Bunor Jnr was a constant on our screens as a little boy.
These days, the Actor has taken time off the screen and is said to have plans to return when the role is right.
Son of famed Actor Kayode Olaseinde (Pa James from the Papa Ajasco series), Samuel Olaseinde began acting as a little boy influenced by his father’s skills.
However, just like every kid actor, Samuel disappeared from our screens for a long time.
The young Actor is however now a graduate of law from the Obafemi Awolowo University, where he participated in many stage plays in the Dramatic Arts department.
