Award-winning Nollywood filmmaker, Kenneth Gyang has denied being a member of the newly inaugurated ministerial committtee for the review of the controversial MOPICON document.
Kenneth made this known via his Facebook page this morning after the full list of committee members emerged following yesterday’s inauguration.
Read his post below:
MOPICON. Please Kenneth Gyang is NOT in any MOPICON committee. I was invited in a general email to come for the event as a committee member to which I replied that I am working on a project and won’t be able to attend but wished them well. I also sent in an email to say I stand with my demographic against this particular bill. Of course I agree with masters like Professor Ekwuazi Hyginus who said we need an Endowment Fund For Arts more than this bill.
Is it okay now if I go back to playing my FIFA game in peace? I haven’t played the game in a while cos I’ve been shooting for ten weeks!
