Actress, Nse Ikpe Etim turns 42 today and we have to admit, we have learnt a number of things from her since she came on our screens.
In 2009, Nse Ikpe Etim returned to Nollywood in her first major role ever and since then, she has been showing off her good acting skills in one big movie after the other.
It has also been amazing, watching her grow as an Actress and as a human being.
Since she became a household name thanks to her role in Emem Isong’s 2009 Film, Reloaded, Nse has taught us a thing or two about life.
Here are 7 of our favorite Nse lessons:
1. Do it well your first time.
Nse got major nominations for her role in Reloaded, which was literally her first major role.
It was her first time and she certainly did it well.
2. Aim for the big fish
When she joined the Industry, she did not settle for small unimportant roles. She went for the big roles.
An important lesson we all must learn in life.
3. Create a niche for yourself
Of course, there were Actresses who had their strengths and specialty. But Nse, she carved a niche for herself and in a short time, had a fan base as large as A Listers she met in the business.
4. Be a Rebel
Nse granted an interview in 2012, where she revealed her mother wanted her to be a Banker. But she rebelled. Don’t we thank God for that decision now?
5. Speak a bit of every language, or at least learn
Nse revealed during an interview that she speaks a little of every language. While it is uncertain if it is every single language in Nigeria, it is interesting to know she is open to speaking something other than her language.
6. Do your homework
Nse says she does a lot of work after receiving a script. No wonder she brings her characters to life so effortlessly.
7. No matter what, have fun
Nse has revealed she loves Scrabble, dancing and cooking.
All work and no play make you dull, they say.
Happy birthday, Nse! More amazing movies we pray.
