Yoruba Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola, who we yesterday reported to have said that women should not have equal rights as men, has told her fellow actresses that they will not “go far” if they they don’t have anything else to offer other than nudity.
While speaking to New Telegraph, Daramola said, “If you believe that the only thing you want to do is preach nudity, automatically you cannot go far in the industry.”
She went on, “We have people like Ayo Mogaji, I am sure she did not preach nudity in her time. When I was doing Barber’s Wisdom, an M-Net new direction movie, the Americans that came referred to Ayo mogaji as the Whoopi Goldberg of Africa. So from that perspective, you know that that person has raw talent to give and not nudity.”
“Foluke Daramola has come of age, I started acting in the 1990s and for me to still stay relevant till now, it’s not about nudity,” the actress said, making an example of herself.
You will recall that recently, an actress, Maria Francis went nude for an upcoming movie.
