Nollywood actress and producer Omoni Oboli is in Toronto, Canada for the annual Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) which commenced yesterday, September 9, 2016.
The actress was well welcomed and has been busy with interviews since her arrival in the country.
Her latest movie, Okafor’s Law is one of the eight Nollywood movies that will be showcased the festival. Okafor’s Law tells the story of the story of a slick serial seducer who bets with his friends that he can bed three old flames in six weeks.
It stars Blossom Chukwujekwu, Ken Erics, Gabriel Afolayan, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Ufuoma McDermott, Tina Mba, Halima Abubakar, Yvonne Jegede, Mary Lazarus, Betty Irabor, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Uche Nnaji, Omoni Oboli and others.
Oboli is currently faced with an allegation by Canada-based writer and filmmaker, Jude Idada who claims that Okafor’s Law was copied from him without any due credit or compesation sent in his direction.
