According to Startells, Nollywood Actress Patience Ozokwor has renewed her faith in Christ. The Star, who is widely known for her portrayal of “wicked stepmother/mother in law”, reportedly rejuvenated her spirituality January this year after she was told by the Holy Spirit to fast for 21 days.
Patience Ozokwor who reportedly initially grumbled, was then told (by the Holy Spirit) to extend the fast to 30 days.
After obeying, the Actress reportedly revealed that she was told to ditch her old lifestyle; the dressing, makeup, her dreads and, take her faith more seriously.
Ozokwor who got her major break in 1998 movie Ijele, reportedly let all of these things go. During her interview, the Star reportedly said she could have died last December and eventually gone to hell if she didn’t let go of her dressing.
Adding that her moniker, Mama G, has been dropped, the Actress added that she has been preaching to her Nollywood colleagues as well.
However, this does not say whether she will be abandoning Nollywood for good as the Interview from Startells only reveals she has taken a break from acting for now.
According to the Interview, the Star has not been on any job since January and “God has miraculously been providing her daily bread”
She added that she was making N1.5 million every week before her encounter and the Holy Spirit has not told her to quit or not.
Patience Ozokwor joins other Nollywood stars like Charles Okafor and Jayke Aernan as Actors who chose to focus more on their Christian faith while taking time off the Acting business.
And, she also joins Actresses Camilla Mberekpe and Eucharia Anunobi, who are two of the most recent Nollywood Celebrities to publicly declare their renewed faith.
