Lagos and Abuja are set to host “We Almost Forgot“, Qudus Onikeku’s latest brainchild. This production features on stage 6 dancers and 1 actress, all of varied backgrounds and identities (Nigeria, Gabon, Morocco, Algeria, Madagascar & France). The 4 sold out “We Almost Forgot” shows after the world premiere in Berlin, were greeted with thunderous applauds and standing ovations. The cast and crew is presently in Lagos, getting ready for the much awaited Lagos premiere.
Never has Qudus, a Nigerian dance maker and choreographer, premiered his international works in Nigeria, however through the active support of Goethe-Institut, Bank of Industry, Institut Français and the German Embassy, this is made possible, not just in Lagos but equally in Abuja.
The Lagos premiere will be held on the main stage at Freedom Park on Friday, June 24, as an headliner at the Lagos Live Arts Festival, while the Abuja show will be hosted at the National Universities Commission, on Sunday, June 26.
