Shake It Off star, Taylor Swift is the highest paid female musician of 2016. The singer made more than double the earnings of the second highest paid, Hello singer, Adele.
According to Forbes, Taylor made most of her money from her highly successful 1989 World Tour. She also has a number of lucrative marketing deals with brands such as Diet Coke, Apple and Keds.
“Taylor has completely overtaken everyone on our list due to the phenomenal success of her 1989 World Tour,” the magazine said.
“She played nearly twice as many dates as competitors like Adele and Rihanna during our scoring period, and managed to fill stadiums – the largest type of building one can play – throughout lucrative North American markets and beyond.”
