Africa in Motion, Scotland’s annual celebration of African cinema is set to bring its audiences cinema from the African continent. This year, the festival will host Nigerian-Scottish Film Odyssey.
Supported by the British Council, the Nigerian-Scottish Film Odyssey will explore the similarities and differences between independent filmmaking in both countries, looking at funding opportunities, production, distribution and storytelling practices.
CJ Obasi‘s zombie film, Ojuju and Stephanie Linus‘ Dry will feature in the festival’s lineup. Obasi and Linus will, while in Scotland, interact with the country’s young filmmakers.
You can get involved in the discussions and share your views via the designated Twitter hashtag #NollywoodOdyssey. Africa in Motion is working with the African Movie Channel to broadcast the industry day in over 14 countries in Africa and Europe in late November.
