Actress Tonto Dikeh sat for an interview with Emma Emerson for Golden Icons in which she went all out about areas of her life people have been interested in for so long.
Tonto who just recently welcomed a baby with her husband Oladunni Churchill, seemed very much at ease while providing answers to all of the questions she was asked.
From the reason she left Singer Dbanj’s label to how she is adjusting to being a new mommy, Tonto Dikeh held nothing back as she provided answers.
On what to expect from her now that she’s a mom
I’ve always promoted motherhood, I have a foundation called the Tonto Dikeh foundation where I take care of rape victims and children… I’m a mother to thousands.
On how she feels when the heavy backlash on her music comes from fans
I don’t feel bad because that is not my profession… if you criticise my acting profession, I would feel bad about it because I’m damn good, I know that I’m not the best musician… that is not really my gift.
On why she left Dbanj’s record label
… I love him so much, he’s my brother but not business wise. We couldn’t work it out business wise, we couldn’t do that.
On more tattoos
Yeah, my son’s name, eventually.
Are you going to get a tattoo of your husband’s name
Umm… we’d see. I never really thought about that but we’d see.
Watch Tonto talk about getting calls from her colleagues after birthing her baby, her thoughts on Mercy Aigbe’s AMVCA dress and what she would be doing now that she’s a mom.
A very interesting interview I must say! And the glow? Motherhood does suit her perfectly!
