The sudden death of ace Nigerian music producer this morning shook the music industry to its roots. No one in the industry can push aside the work of OJB Jezreel because of how hard he worked to get new generation Nigerian producers to the front line. Many people have been paying tributes to the fallen legend since the news broke.
Check out some of them below:
Lami Phillips: I remember the first day I walked into your home/studio in surulere.. Ajebutter from yankee with no clue.. I can’t imagine what your thoughts were. You smiled and you listened.. You were the very first producer I worked with .. Remember @labillion ..@cecilhammond insisted I start my journey with you.. This is how I remember you bros.. Always smiling.. Calm.. We never released “ojo n ro” .. We lost the data.. But it’s still in my heart and I just sang it for you. OJB.. I thank you for the songs we did put on “intuition” . Thank you for giving this girl a chance. Rest in perfect peace ???
I am beginning to see this death thing differently.. Someday our job will be done here and our deeds will remain imortalized.. Before my time is up..ama do some more..while i hope i still av more time left..if not, why shld anyone be scared of seeing the lord. It seem am alive for one purpose..to leave my footprints in your hearts.. (a life that glorify God) Father forgive me if i av ever taken a single second for granted.. We chatted for a few mins at #Nomoreloss' service of songs boss..dint know that would be the goodbye..till we meet again..RIP to one of Africa's pride..heavens gat a new lead vocalist/producer..#RIPOJB
We all mourn THE DEAD but we don't know who goes next .Life is a lesson and an odyssey. Till we meet again I will cherish the memories I have the opportunity you gave us with your open door policy .that nowadays stardom packagers know nothing of. FROM SODIYEN to every other massive hit you made your humility remained unchanged .I pray Paradise for you . RIP OJB
