Having already established himself as a terror-lover with The ABCs of Death 2 and Room 237, director Rodney Ascher is ready with what many regard not only as his scariest work yet but also “one of the most terrifying documentaries ever made.”
The Nightmare is about the real-life nightmares of people who suffer from sleep paralysis. Rodney interviews eight people who suffer from sleep paralysis and resulting night terrors delving into his subjects’ terrifying semi-conscious states while also recreating their horrific dreamscapes for the viewer to witness.
Following a successful premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, Gravitas Ventures will be releasing it soon on VOD platforms as well as select theatres from June.
