As the 2016 Oscars draws near, it isn’t out of place to try to relive the best moments in the history of the awards ceremony.
Many of us have not forgotten Lupita Nyong’o‘s emotional speech after she won the best supporting actress award in 2014. The speech was strong and moving, giving hope to many a young girl the world over.
There have also been dozens of memorable Oscar moments since the inception of the Academy Awards.
From Christopher Reeve‘s moving speech about social issues to Charlie Charlin‘s 1972 honorary win. That moment when Tatum O’Neal became the youngest Oscar winner is also up there among the most memorable moments.
