Watch the trailer of Deejay Sa’id‘s new short film, Trapped: No Way Out.
Trapped is Deejay’s second flick since he produced his first feature, Blood and Romance (2014), which got nominated in that year’s Abuja International Film Festival, Eko International Film Festival and Best of Nollywood (BON) award in different categories from best director, best feature film, outstanding music, best indigenous language feature film.
Deejay believes the film which is dedicated to recognizing and supporting Nigerian soldiers who battle terrorism day and night to keep the country safe, will be “revolutionary” and that it will stand “shoulder-to-shoulder to many Hollywood big screen movies”.
According to him, the30-minute short film took almost a year to fix. It features Obed Onibiyo as Doctor and Rachael Brown as Nina.
During the process of combat with terrorists, a bullet to the skull sent a military sergeant into a coma for three years, he was trapped in his mind during these years trying to fight his way back to life as he battles with his past experiences as a soldier. This piece of work is dedicated to our men on the battlefield, to those who lost their lives for the cause, and those suffering from any form of trauma or disorder as a result of the after effect of war.
Trapped will be having its first screening at this year’s Lagos Comic Con on September 17th, 2016.
