The trailer for Sambisa, said to be the first narrative film to be made about Boko Haram has been released. The short film is based on the stage play, Into The Sambisa and focuses on the kidnapping of 276 girls from Government Secondary School, Chibok in April 2014.
The film is written and directed by Uche Aguh and it stars Shardiah Ssagala, Ejiro Okorodudu, Josh Okusanya, Tomi Sunmonu, Uche Aguh among others.
“The 273 girls who were abducted by Boko Haram Soldiers were taken into the Sambisa Forest. Some have escaped, while many remain in captivity. Now, more than two years passed, these girls are still nowhere to he found. The rest of the world may forget about these girls, but we will always remember them.”
