Wrestler and Hollywood actor, Roderick George Toombs best known as Rowdy Roddy Piper has died at the age of 61. According to information from sources close to him, the wrestling superstar died in his sleep.
Unknown to many, Roderick George Toombs was born in Canada but ended up plying his trade and living his entire life in the United States of America where he lived in the states of Los Angeles and Oregon. He is survived by his wife Kitty and three daughters: Falon, Ariel, Anastacia and his only son Colton.
Colton his son tweeted this morning:
My father @R_Roddy_Piper is a great man. and my best friend, I will miss him forever and always try to be the man he has raised me to be
The legendary wrestler shone in the 80s and 90s as a dreaded villain character wrestler of the World Wrestling Federation(WWF). At the height of his popularity, he became an actor and he starred in the classic sci-fi movie, They Live amongst many others.
May his soul rest in peace as the world mourns.
