AMAA Takes 2017 Nominees Announcement To Rwanda

The announcement will hold on May 13 at the Kigali Convention Centre, Rwanda.


Organisers of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) have announced that its 2017 Nominees announcement will be held in Kigali, The Republic of Rwanda.

The announcement will hold on May 13, 2017 at the Kigali Convention Centre, Rwanda.

The 2016 nominees announcement was held in Lagos, Nigeria – which is also set to host this year’s award.

This 2017 edition of the AMAA’s is part of the Lagos at 50 celebrations.

Referred to as the pan-African reward system for the motion picture practitioners, AMAA is an annual celebration of the brightest and the best in African movies.

Last year’s AMAA award was held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Dr. Obi Wali Event Centre, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State. Daniel K Daniel, The Cursed Ones, Dry and A Soldier’s Story, were some of the biggest winners of the night.
